EARLY LEARNING
The preschool program at Woodlawn is designed to stimulate the young mind
and develop social skills. We are licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services. A director and an aide staff the center. WA offers full day and half
day programs with challenging curriculums taught in a loving and nurturing environment. Parents can choose two, three, or five days a week for their
child to attend.

Three Year Old Program: Children attend Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:30AM to 12:00PM.
     The curriculum introduces letters and sounds, numbers and counting, colors and shapes, weekly themes, activity centers, songs and finger plays. Thematic activities including center playtime encourage cooperation and socialization among children. Christian and patriotic values are taught through daily devotions and the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance.

Four Year Old Program: Children attend Monday, Wednesday and Friday
(all day ) or Monday through Friday ( all day).
     The daily activities in the four year old program include extensive instruction in phonics and numerical concepts, color and shape recognition, vocabulary development and the continued development of fine and gross motor skills. Through learning centers and whole language instruction the children are given opportunities to be creative. The children are taught basic Spanish and participate in school productions such as the Christmas Musical and the Spring Fling.
