UPPER SCHOOL (Grades 5-8)
Woodlawn Academy has a variety of educational
programs to meet the needs of all its students. The upper school curriculum offers a traditional, well-balanced core
of subjects: Language arts, English, grammar, phonics, reading, writing and spelling, mathematics, Spanish, science, social studies, and physical education.
Exploratory and enrichment classes such as music, band, art, and computer technology enhance and support the superior curriculum. Classes are organized with a seven period parallel block schedule. Students in the eighth grade receive high school credit for algebra and Spanish.
